Some sessions come easier than others... and some come with toddlers 😜 This recent family session featured a one year old, a two year old, a very tired mama expecting baby number three in just two more months. Needless to say - we were working with a lot of emotions in a very short window. The kids took turns crying, sometimes they cried a the same time. They didn't want to be put down, and the little girl only wanted her daddy - and only him.. But that's okay. That's real life. And that's the season this family is in. We eased into every pose slowly, doing our best to keep things relaxed to let the kids take the lead, and to create a space where they could feel safe and where we could sneak in a few precious moments. Thank goodness for Photoshop! Face swaps, runny nose edits, and softening red, blotchy cheeks helped polish the final gallery into something this family will truly cherish. And you know what? Those tears? They melted into snuggles. The chaos calmed just long enough to reveal the love behind it. These fleeting moments, the clinging hugs, the tired eyes, the comfort of their parent's arms - they're what tell the story of life right now. Messy. Sweet. Real. Their family is about to change all over again, and in the thick of it, they choose to capture this season. Even if they end up with a huge canvas of both kids crying on their wall (and honestly, I kind of hope they do!), It will become one of their favorite stories to look back on when their babies are grown.
