Summer evenings at the park are always beautiful... but they're also busy! When I pulled into the parking lot and saw it nearly full, I tried not to panic. We walked down to the beach to find it packed with families soaking up the warm Summer evening. I searched for little pockets of space to photograph in, and while I spent plenty of time editing people out of the backgrounds afterward, you'd never know these images were taken in the middle of such a crowd!
The kids were absolute rockstars despite all the distractions. At one point, other children were digging in the sand just a few feet away while we were trying to pose them! We embraced the moment, focused on keeping things fun, and captured plenty of genuine smiles and sweet interactions.
We wrapped up the session in the grassy area, where the one year old girl proudly showed off all of her adorable outfits and accessories. Big brother completely stole my heart with how loving and patient he was. He happily gave her kisses, snuggles, and hugs, even when she was much more interested in exploring.
Getting two little ones to look at the camera at the same time is challenging, so instead of forcing perfect poses, we leaned into natural moments. Overall, it went so much better than we all expected!
They are watching kids play in the sand, but it made her stay still!
